Riikka has lived for four years in Zurich, where she completed her master’s degree. She grew up in Finland and studied also in Tallinn Estonia and in Berlin. Her works are internationally exhibited, including The Swiss Art Awards 2012 in Basel. Riikka’s focus is on the performative process of everyday life and art, which she puts into motion by means of medium and situation. She deals with topics such as social norms and behaviors, routine, banality and language.
