‘Everything can be transformed into something else'

Upcycling Library, started in 2018 with the initiative of Pınar Akkurt, is a platform that focuses on archiving simple examples and researching ways to revalue waste materials that are ignored in our daily lives.

It aims to remind and show that everyone can do something about it by sharing practical examples of how we can recycle waste materials that we frequently encounter such as pet bottles, plastic bags, old t-shirts, socks that cannot be worn, cargo boxes, jar lids, and suggestions for using familiar hand tools such as heat guns, irons, soldering irons, scissors.

The Library, which does not have a physical space, operates with occasional research workshops and an Instagram account that is not very active for now. It is a long-term project that grows slowly.
