This work borrows the subtitle of Caroline Levine's Forms. It tries to express how forms, when possibilities are taken into account, can simultaneously be inclusive, plural, overlapping, mobile, and settled. However, each major formalist tradition has restricted the definition of form in a way that overlooks or excludes one or more of these possibilities.
