Dimitrina Sevova

Graduated from the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, and the MAS Curating at the Institute for Cultural Studies in the Arts of the University of the Arts ZHdK, Zurich.

Independent curator, theorist, author and artist based in Zurich, working across old and new media art practices and theory. Her approach as a curator is research-based and involves references across disciplines, with a focus on collectivity, language with its grammar and hidden hierarchies, on otherness, gender, sexuality, race and power relations.

Co-founded the critical media art and theory collective code flow (www.code-flow.net). She has been instrumental in fostering the practices and debates around digital culture, gender and politics as co-founder of the TED Gallery and the Center for Contemporary Art in Bulgaria.

Her latest curatorial projects are Reality Manifestos – Can Reality Break Bricks?, a group show and public theoretical symposium at Kunsthalle Exnergasse, Vienna, and Invisible City – Technologies of the Body, a collaborative research project and exhibition between three artists and two curators at Kunstverein Zürich Wäscherei in Zurich in 2012.
