Çağla Sönmez Çakır was born in Sinop,1968. She has BSc degree in Computer Engineering, Bosphorus University; MSc degree in Advertising and Publicity, Marmara University. Until 2005 she worked as computer programmer, multimedia designer/programmer, web designer and content-site manager. She is attending Pi Ceramic Atelier and works with ceramic artist Ayten Turanlı since 2004, also giving ceramic courses at the same atelier since 2011
